Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT)
AIT was developed in US by Asha Clinton who based her work on the psychodynamic underpinnings provided by analytic psychology, object relations, and self-psychology; on traumatology, energy psychology and energy healing; and on teachings and practices drawn from many world religions.
It is a dynamic energy psychotherapy that may provide individuals with lasting relief from a range of trauma based psychological problems.
Starting from the premise that all upsetting events are types of trauma, and that they are housed within the body, mind and spirit, Advanced Integrative Therapy has the potential to transform the after-effects of trauma. It attends to problems caused by trauma such as disturbing emotions, negative beliefs and attitudes, dissociation, spiritual blockage, psychosomatic problems Psychotherapists who study AIT learn how to access unconscious material through ideomotor cueing (muscle testing), and how to move energy through the body’s major energy centres (chakras) to more effectively process symptoms, their cause and after-effects.

Parents as Partners Couple’s Group
The Parents as Partners programme is an intervention for couples and co-parents of young children which originated in the US, developed by Professors Phil and Carolyn Cowan along with their colleagues Professors Marsha Kline Pruett and Kyle Pruett from the University of California.
The programme is designed to improve relationships between parents and to increase children’s well‐being and success. It looks at relationships across the family, not just at parenting skills, as parents’ relationship together, parent-child relationships and family patterns across generations are all considered.

Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT)
MBT is a type of long-term psychotherapy. Mentalization is the ability to think about thinking. It helps to make sense of our thoughts, beliefs, wishes and feelings and to link these to our actions and behaviours.
Mentalization is a normal capacity that we all use in everyday life. It underpins all human relationships. However, some people find it more difficult to mentalise in certain situations than others.
MBT aims to improve a person’s capacity to mentalise. We focus on what is going on in their mind and in the minds of other people and link this to understand and alleviate problematic behaviours.
It's particularly useful for people who suffer from long-term difficulties in relationships and who experience intense emotional distress and overwhelming feelings which may result in destructive behaviours such as self-harm or aggression towards others.
It is also helpful for people who may be distrustful of other people and have difficulty in reading other people’s responses to them.
Mentalization-based treatments can be used to help children, young people and families who suffer from psychological difficulties.
